Last year we started our vision of replanting the understory of our maple forest with woodland herbals that do well in dense shade. We started by planting about 5 lbs of sclarified ginseng seeds in a small area just before the leaves started falling. We are hoping that will be a good start and enough that some of them survive our turkey and deer populations. This definitely will be an experiment and with Ginseng taking 5 years to mature its going to take alot of patience.
